Russia turns Geran drones into faster, smarter and more evasive weapons
The systemic adaptation of Russia's Geran drone platform fundamentally alters the operational calculus of the air war in Ukraine by neutralizing low-cost asymmetric interception methods. Through the integration of jet propulsion, high-G maneuverability, and extended operational range, these upgraded munitions systematically outpace the slower, propeller-driven interceptor drones previously fielded by Ukraine.
