Second axis opened: Russians attacked from all sides
Ukrainian forces have executed a coordinated offensive in the Huliaipole sector, resulting in a significant breach of Russian defensive lines from the west and northwest. This maneuver forced Russian units to retreat behind the Haichur River. A secondary offensive axis was subsequently opened from the north near Velykomykhailivka, targeting the flanks of the Russian salient to eliminate their bridgehead. The northern operation involves three tactical vectors toward Vyshneve, Verbove, and Ternove, designed to envelop enemy positions and isolate them from reinforcements. The integration of unmanned aerial systems has disrupted Russian logistics and personnel rotations, leading to high daily attrition rates. This tactical success reestablishes Ukrainian control over key defensive infrastructure and sets the stage for a deeper operational breakthrough. Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi’s presence at the front underscores the strategic importance of these gains and the intent to capitalize on Russian reserve shortages.
