Insane Losses: Russians Reinforcements Are Gone!
What was meant to be Russia’s breakthrough at Pokrovsk has instead turned into a grinding struggle it cannot sustain. What began as a determined drive to cut Ukrainian supply routes has instead exposed the structural weaknesses of Russia’s offensive machine: reliance on massed assaults, overstretched logistics, and vulnerable staging areas. Ukraine, recognizing this vulnerability, has shifted the battlefield balance by adopting a strike-centric approach aimed at dismantling Russia’s capacity to regenerate forces. Rather than trading blow for blow at the front, Kyiv is systematically targeting the foundations of Moscow’s war effort in Donbas—command hubs, air defenses, supply depots, and training camps. This layered strategy is not only inflicting catastrophic losses but also eroding Russia’s ability to coordinate and launch new large-scale attacks. The fight for Pokrovsk has therefore become less about territory and more about exhaustion, with Ukraine ensuring that every Russian attempt to rebuild momentum collapses before it begins.
