Precision strikes leave Iranian jets stranded and unable to launch
The recent neutralization of Iranian aerial capabilities demonstrates a decisive shift in regional military parity. US and Israeli forces have established comprehensive air supremacy by systematically targeting aviation infrastructure to ground the Iranian fleet. Despite possessing approximately four hundred aircraft, including F-14 and MiG-29 platforms, the Iranian Air Force remained qualitatively outmatched by fifth-generation assets. Operational success was achieved through the precision cratering of runways and taxiways at ten key tactical airbases, such as Hamadan, utilizing GBU-39 munitions. This strategy effectively trapped aircraft within hardened shelters or rendered them vulnerable on the ground, leading to the destruction of forty-one airframes. With its conventional air power functionally eliminated, Iran faces a significant strategic deficit in its ability to contest its own airspace or sustain a conventional kinetic defense.
