Russia’s demographic implosion is now too late to stop, as 1+ million young men die in Ukraine
Russian strategy of grinding attrition is backfiring, as Ukraine continues to impose losses on a scale Russia cannot absorb without long-term national damage. Ukrainian defenses and strike capabilities are eliminating Russian manpower faster than Moscow can regenerate it, exposing the illusion that numbers alone guarantee victory. With daily losses reaching into the thousands and monthly totals exceeding entire Western wars, Russia has failed to translate sacrifice into meaningful territorial gains. Ukraine’s ability to hold key cities and sectors despite this pressure highlights the effectiveness of its defensive doctrine and force preservation. Each destroyed Russian assault unit not only weakens the front but also accelerates Russia’s demographic and economic collapse at home. In effect, Ukraine is defeating Russia twice at once: on the battlefield and in the long-term struggle over who still has a future worth fighting for.
