Ukraine obliterates 656 confirmed targets in the south alone

Ukraine's expanding drone campaign against southern Russian supply networks represents a strategic shift from tactical attrition to operational-level interdiction of ground lines of communication. Russian adaptations, including traffic reduction, vehicle disguise, and armed escorts, failed to mitigate vulnerability while inadvertently signposting high-value assets to Ukrainian surveillance. Systematic targeting of fuel transport mechanisms creates critical operational friction, compounding supply deficits across frontline sectors and the Crimean peninsula. By blurring military and civilian logistics, Russian command structures expanded the operational target set and target authorization thresholds for Ukrainian strike forces. Consequently, Russian protective measures have generated self-inflicted transport bottlenecks, severely degrading supply throughput and logistical efficiency. This deteriorating environment leaves the southern Russian supply network vulnerable to compounding operational paralysis.
