The painful reality of the true cost of Iran war

The massive consumption of Western precision munitions and air defense assets in secondary theaters has fundamentally altered the strategic balance in Ukraine by exposing severe vulnerabilities in the Euro-Atlantic industrial base. This rapid depletion of high-end stockpiles forces a structural shift toward low-cost, autonomous systems and decentralized drone manufacturing to sustain frontline defensive operations. Consequently, the operational logic of the conflict has transformed from a conventional war of material attrition into a highly digitized battle of localized electronic warfare and massed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) deployment. These supply pressures have also intensified Ukraine’s dependence on domestic technological innovation and co-production agreements to offset the reduction in foreign industrial artillery support. Ultimately, this integration of uncrewed networks and accelerated industrial reorganization is permanently reshaping the long-term balance of military capabilities along the entire frontline.
