Russia is getting consumed by soldiers’ mass shootings, self-killings, and mental breakdowns
Today, serious incidents within Russia’s own military are exposing the depth of its internal decay. The myth of unity and heroism, once central to the Kremlin’s narrative, is disintegrating under the weight of fear, exhaustion, and despair among conscripts. Across barracks and training grounds, soldiers who were told they were defending the nation are turning their weapons inward — against themselves and their comrades. Mass shootings, suicides, and breakdowns have become a grim reflection of a force collapsing from within, as the psychological and moral strain of the war reaches breaking point. Families are beginning to speak out, revealing patterns of abuse, corruption, and coercion that the state can no longer fully conceal. What was once portrayed as patriotic service has now become a symbol of a system devouring its own, trapped in a war it can neither win nor escape.
